My name is Daniela Cespedes and I have been dancing for nine years. I started dancing in a small town in North Carolina at the age of seven. After moving to Fort Myers, I signed up for dance lessons at Miss Kelly’s studio. I have been dancing here for two years now. Ever since I started dancing I knew I wanted to pursue it professionally and one day have my own dance studio so that I could share my passion for dancing and the invaluable lessons that I learned from Miss Kelly and my former teachers.
My favorite types of dance are ballet, contemporary and tap, but out of the three I really enjoy contemporary because it gives me the ability to fully express my emotions and portray how I am feeling in the movements of the dance. Ballet comes in a close second because it teaches control of movements that can be applied to all areas of dance. Tap is my third favorite because it is just fun to do!
Thanks for choosing me as dancer of the year.
