Miss Michelle grew up dancing in studios from the age of 4, and as a teen, studied at the Virginia School of the Arts for two intensive summer programs. She went on to study dance in college, getting a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance from Jacksonville University (JU) in 2004. She was honored at the American College Dance Festival with an award for Excellence in performance for her roll in “Likings for Shadows” choreographed by Erica Dankmeyer from the Martha Graham dance company.
After college, she began studying Ballroom and Latin dancing with Ralph Ramrez at Boleros Dancesport in Jacksonville, FL. She continued to study and teach partner dancing at Boleros from 2004-2009. She also began competing around the United States in Hustle, Salsa, Swing, and Cabaret. In 2009, she won the World Open Hustle Championship at the International Hustle and Salsa Competition in Miami, FL, as well as placed 5th in the US and 6th in the world in the Cabaret division at the United States Dancesport Championships in Orlando, FL.
Michelle has been teaching dance since 2004, styles including: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary, Ballroom, Latin, Hustle, Salsa, & Swing. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and experience
with the local dance community.
Miss Kelly started dancing when she was three years old and was on Miss Kelly's competitive dance team for two years. She is currently a BA theatre major at Nova Southeastern University. She has been taking voice lessons for 11 years and has been doing theatre for 10. She loves teaching voice and acting techniques with kids of all ages!
